I bleed Red.
8:03 AMMaybe i'm over sensitive, or maybe I'm just PMS-ing, I don't know. But all I know is, I love this club so-freaking-much. Liverpool Footbal Club.
You know why I love them that much? Because they teach me how to have hopes. To fight 'til the end. And to believe that nothing is impossible. I've been watching their journey to Istanbul, where they won the cup for the 5th times. Not just that it was an amazing final, but their journey was UNBELIEVABLE.
Right before the knockout stage, Liverpool needs at least 2-0 win over Olympiakos to keep them in the Champions League. But what happened? They were 1-0 down on the 1st half. On the 2nd half, they finally equalize. but it's not enough. they need 2 more goals to make it to the knockout stage. with 12 minutes remaining, is it possible? Well, it is. They made another goal and make it 2-1. with 5 minutes before the injury time, Captain fantastic made the goal that he -and all of the Liverpudlian- will not forget. Just like what the commentator said : "he didn't wanna wake up tomorrow in the UEFA Cup. He was saying that yesterday. With one swing of his gifted right foot, Steven Gerrard says : Champions League, Knockout stage, here we come!"
And so they did.
The Final game is even more unbelievable. 3-0 down on the first half? Come on. Even the commentator said that it's game over for Liverpool. But did they gave up? No. They fight. Even harder. 3 goals in 6 minutes. 6 minutes that shocked the Italians. 6 minutes that we, football lover, will never forget. They won the cup that night. Through a penalty shootout. They won the cup for the 5th times.
Miracles are possible. Indeed it is.
Tomorrow, Indonesia will face Malaysia (again) in the AFF Suzuki Cup Final. It's the second leg. In the 1st leg, Indonesia lost 0-3 to Malaysia. Everybody lose their hopes. But not me. I believe, Gelora Bung Karno Stadium will be the next Istanbul. We (Liverpool and Indonesia NT) have the same color. Red. We both lost 3-0 in the 1st half (leg). If Liverpool were able to won the cup, Hopefully Indonesia NT will be able to do the same tomorrow.
If Paolo Maldini feared "You'll Never Walk Alone" anthem sang by Hundreds of thousands Liverpool fans, Then tomorrow, we will make Safee Sali feared "Garuda di dadaku" anthem by hundreds of thousands Indonesian Supporters.
Liverpool only had 45 minutes in Istanbul. We, Indonesia NT, have 90 minutes.
If they could, why couldn't we?
I bleed Red. And I'm proud.
